On January 31, 2025, Rep. Mark Alford expressed concerns about China's military actions in the South China Sea. He described it as a "direct threat to American interests" and called for strengthening the U.S. defense industrial base and encouraging innovation to deter aggression from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
