Rep. Mark Alford, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 4th district, shared his thoughts on a range of topics via social media. Known for succeeding Vicky Hartzler in 2023, Alford's recent posts address the themes of military preparedness, border security, and international relations.

In a post dated April 14, 2025, Rep. Alford highlighted his commitment to security by stating, "Fully equipped and ready to serve, Missouri style. ".

On April 15, 2025, Rep. Alford detailed legislative efforts regarding border security. He described the introduction of a bill by the House GOP that aims at improving national border security. According to his post, "Our @HouseGOP one big, beautiful bill delivers on BORDER SECURITY by: Providing resources to support our Border Patrol agents; Speeding up the removal of criminal, illegal aliens; Investing in technology to improve border enforcement; Securing our border by completely".

In another tweet on the same day, Alford expressed concern about international espionage and influence, particularly focusing on China. He stated, "Communist China is intent on spying on us, stealing our intellectual property, and with its Belt and Road initiative, making investments in the Western hemisphere–which will eventually threaten us. America MUST be prepared.".

Alford graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963, and now resides in Lake Winnebago.
