Rep. Mark Alford, currently serving Missouri’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has been sharing insights and updates through a series of Twitter posts. Known for his advocacy on various issues, Alford recently touched upon community engagement, economic practices, and manufacturing policies.

On April 14, 2025, Rep. Alford announced his participation in a local engagement initiative by inviting constituents to join him for a coffee meeting in Missouri's 4th District, stating, "Join us one morning this week in MO-04. We're here to answer your questions, share ideas, and address your concerns. Hope to see you soon! Dates, times, and locations below:" He encouraged constituents to take advantage of this opportunity for direct communication and idea exchange.

Later that day, Alford addressed America's economic and manufacturing dependency on China. He expressed his concern by tweeting, "We’ve been dependent on the cheap goods made in China for far too long. We have got to cut our dependence on Communist China. It’s time to onshore manufacturing, bring chip manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and other manufacturing back to the United States of America!"

Mark Alford, who began representing Missouri’s 4th District in 2023 after replacing Vicky Hartzler, was born in 1963 in Baytown, Texas, and resides in Lake Winnebago. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin, acquired in 1988.
