The program is designed to help hospitals build strong internal leaders. Participants attended monthly in-person sessions over the year that focused on topics such as leadership styles, conflict management, project management and healthcare education.
Leadership at Cass Regional selected these staff members for their potential to grow within the organization. Jay Sebelien, Chief Nursing Officer at Cass Regional Medical Center said: “We believe that in investing in internal leadership development strengths not just those who attend, but our entire organization. Programs like the MHA Leadership Series help our leaders develop the skills needed to be successful in the respective roles. Our ultimate goal is to provide better patient outcomes and care to our patients and the community.”
According to Cass Regional officials, lessons learned from this series are already being applied at the medical center through improved staff training and enhanced project management practices.
