Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville has been re-designated as a Level III Missouri Stroke Center by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) Time Critical Diagnosis Unit. This status is given to hospitals that demonstrate expertise, training, and resources necessary for prompt stroke identification, assessment, and treatment.

The hospital’s renewed designation follows its ongoing certification as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Joint Commission. The achievement highlights Cass Regional’s focus on providing timely and effective care for stroke patients in its service area.

“Cass Regional Medical Center remains committed to providing exceptional, timely care for stroke patients in our community,” said Chris Lang, CEO. “This designation as a Level III Missouri Stroke Center reaffirms the skill, dedication, and teamwork of our providers and staff. When every second counts, our team is ready to deliver the high-quality care that can save lives and improve outcomes.”

The medical center credits its providers, nurses, and support staff for their role in maintaining these standards.

Cass Regional Medical Center operates as a critical access hospital with several specialized units including medical/surgical beds, intensive care beds, and behavioral health beds. It provides emergency services; general and specialty surgery; rehabilitation programs such as cardiac rehabilitation and diabetes education; advanced diagnostic tools like MRI, CT scans, PET-CT scans; mammography; nuclear medicine; and a sleep study lab.
