Rep. Mark Alford, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 4th district, has been vocal on various issues through his social media platform. Since replacing Vicky Hartzler in 2023, Alford has engaged with topics ranging from insider trading to international diplomacy and community safety.

On May 15, 2025, Rep. Alford emphasized a bipartisan and bicameral effort to curb insider trading by members of Congress. He stated that "We’re fighting to stop insider trading by members of Congress. This mission is bipartisan and bicameral." Alford stressed that public service should not be used as a means for personal financial gain, especially when many Americans face economic challenges.

Later the same day, Alford expressed support for a continued firm stance against Iran's nuclear ambitions. He mentioned joining his Republican Study Committee colleagues in urging President Trump to maintain pressure on Iran. In his words: "We're urging President Trump to continue his successful maximum pressure campaign against Iran—the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism—and ensure it can never develop or obtain a nuclear weapon."

In another post on May 15, 2025, Rep. Alford took time during Police Week to honor law enforcement officers. He specifically acknowledged the Columbia Police Department for their efforts in safeguarding the community: "Taking the time to honor our heroes this Police Week...sending our thanks to the Columbia Police Department for all they do to keep the Columbia community protected!"

Mark Alford was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in 1988. Now residing in Lake Winnebago at age 59, he continues his political career with an emphasis on integrity and public service.
