Rep. Mark Alford, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 4th district, shared insights from his recent engagements and reflections through a series of tweets. On June 5, 2025, Rep. Alford expressed enthusiasm for hosting members of the MO-04 Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapters at his office and the U.S. Capitol. He noted that it was an opportunity to "share stories, answer questions, and show these amazing individuals, who are pursuing careers in agriculture, around the Hill." He extended an invitation to others visiting Washington D.C., encouraging them to stop by "if you’re ever in D.C."

The following day on June 6, 2025, he reiterated his honor in welcoming the FFA members wearing their "iconic blue corduroy jackets" to Washington D.C. He expressed pride in having them visit both his office and the Capitol while looking forward to witnessing their future leadership roles within agriculture "in our D.C. office."

Later on June 6, Rep. Alford commemorated a pivotal moment in history by recalling the events of June 6, 1944—D-Day—when American and Allied forces launched a critical offensive on Normandy's beaches during World War II. In this tweet, he paid tribute to those whose "sacrifice and bravery changed the course of history," acknowledging its lasting impact "#DDay."
