On May 13, 2025, Rep. Alford highlighted economic developments by noting that "Inflation remains at a four-year low in the latest Consumer Price Index report." He emphasized that grocery prices have declined significantly for the first time in five years and gas prices have decreased for three consecutive months. Alford attributed these economic trends to GOP policies.

Later that day, Alford paid tribute to a former colleague by stating "Senator Bond was a true statesman and a mentor to many—myself included." He acknowledged Senator Kit Bond's extensive public service career spanning over four decades as both Governor and U.S. Senator of Missouri.
