Rep. Mark Alford, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 4th district since 2023, recently expressed his gratitude and commitment to public service through a series of tweets. The congressman, who succeeded Vicky Hartzler, shared his appreciation for law enforcement and emphasized the importance of cooperation and preparedness in various aspects.

On May 12, Alford acknowledged the efforts of law enforcement officers during National Police Week. He stated: "Thank you to the heroes across MO-04 & America. We are so grateful for the bravery and sacrifice you exhibit in safeguarding our communities each and every day." This message underscores his recognition of their continuous dedication to community safety.

Later that same day, Alford commented on a new agreement aimed at enhancing economic conditions for American workers. He remarked: " Promises made, promises kept. This agreement is an historic first step toward future cooperation, fair trade, and a level playing field for American workers." The congressman highlighted this as a significant development towards ensuring equitable opportunities in trade.

The following day, on May 13, Alford praised Missouri Task Force 1 for their swift response during emergencies. He tweeted: "When disaster strikes, Missouri Task Force 1's first responders put themselves on the line to assist in rescue and recovery efforts." He further explained how the team responded effectively after severe storms hit Missouri in March.

Mark Alford was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently resides in Lake Winnebago. An alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin with a BA obtained in 1988, he has been actively involved in legislative matters since assuming office.
