Rep. Mark Alford, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 4th district, shared insights and updates through a series of tweets on May 9, 2025.

In his first tweet at 18:31 UTC, Alford highlighted "Just Love Coffee Cafe: a local coffee shop that opened 2 years ago by Navy Veteran Billy R. Watkins III and his wife Thaís Watkins!" He noted that the cafe specializes in gourmet coffees and food, much of which is prepared on a waffle iron, with dishes freshly made to order.

A follow-up tweet posted at 18:38 UTC contained only a link https://t.co/yOJd1o1qKl, suggesting further content or context related to his previous message or an unrelated topic.

Later, at 18:57 UTC, Alford shifted focus to national issues in another tweet stating "IT’S TIME TO SEE WHAT’S GOING ON IN WASHINGTON:" He raised questions about recent legislative actions and security concerns including why Trump's "GULF OF AMERICA EO" needed codification, efforts by House Republicans to prevent CCP infiltration in American universities, and comments from FBI Director Kash Patel regarding upcoming changes affecting Kansas City.

Mark Alford has been serving in Congress since replacing Vicky Hartzler in 2023. Born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and now residing in Lake Winnebago, he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in 1988.
