Rep. Mark Alford, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 4th district since 2023, recently shared his views and initiatives on social media. Alford, who succeeded Vicky Hartzler in this role, has been active in promoting policies that support small businesses and educators.

On May 5, 2025, Rep. Alford emphasized the importance of extending the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), highlighting that "an overwhelming majority of Americans support extending TCJA." He noted the significance of maintaining the 199A business income deduction to prevent approximately 26 million small businesses from facing a tax rate increase to 43.4%. Alford assured constituents that this is part of what "@HouseGOP will do in our big, beautiful bill" (source).

The following day, on May 6, he acknowledged Small Business Week by celebrating the creation of "59 MILLION jobs" by small businesses. He expressed pride in Missouri's Fourth District's small enterprises and affirmed his commitment to supporting them through his work with @HouseSmallBiz (source).

Later that day, Alford extended gratitude to educators on Teacher Appreciation Day & Week. He praised MO-04's educators for their dedication in shaping future generations (source).

Born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and currently residing in Lake Winnebago, Mark Alford holds a BA from the University of Texas at Austin.
