Rep. Mark Alford, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Missouri's 4th district, is known for expressing his views and engaging with constituents through social media. Previously a local television news anchor before his political career, Alford replaced former U.S. Congress member Vicky Hartzler in 2023. Born in 1963 in Baytown, Texas, and an alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin, he resides in Lake Winnebago.

On April 29, 2025, Alford posted a tweet expressing strong support for former President Donald Trump, stating "Joe Biden gave us 4 years of decline. President Trump just gave us 100 days of REVIVAL. The next 4 years are looking great. ".

The following day, April 30, 2025, Alford congratulated the business Pete & Jakes Hot Rod Parts in a tweet, naming them as the April Small Business of the Month. Alford stated, "Congratulations to April Small Business of the Month: Pete & Jakes Hot Rod Parts! Over 50 years of top-tier service, and we look forward to witnessing many more. Thankful for this amazing small business in MO-04."

Additionally, on the same day, Alford discussed small business policy in the context of a House Small Business Committee markup. He tweeted, "At our @HouseSmallBiz markup, Democrats are prioritizing beltway bureaucrats over the backbone of our economy—small businesses. We must get SBA reps out of the swamp and into the communities they serve with my Returning SBA to Main Street Act."

Rep. Alford's engagement on social media highlights his support for small businesses in Missouri and his legislative push for greater focus on community-based economic policies.
