On March 18, 2025, Rep. Alford expressed his appreciation for visiting Wheeler Livestock Auction in Osceola, Missouri. He noted the expertise of owners Byron, Angela, Karla, and Tom in livestock management and customer service. "Good to be with Byron Wheeler and Austin Shelter at Wheeler Livestock Auction in Osceola, MO! Later that day, he addressed a significant policy issue by announcing that a letter had been sent to Secretary Rollins urging an extension of compliance deadlines for new federal energy code mandates. Alford highlighted concerns about potential increases in housing costs amid a historic affordability crisis. "ICYMI: We just sent a letter to Sec.
