On March 11, 2025, Rep. Alford expressed support for a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution led by Rep. Mike Carey aimed at reversing an IRS rule concerning digital assets. He stated: "The House just passed @RepMikeCarey's CRA resolution to overturn one Biden's 11th hour attacks on the digital asset ecosystem--the IRS' DeFi Broker Rule." He emphasized the importance of protecting American decentralized finance (DeFi) projects and preventing blockchain innovation from relocating overseas.

On March 12, 2025, Alford highlighted recent economic developments with optimism about bipartisan efforts to reduce costs for Americans: "This week: Core CPI, a key inflation index, reached its lowest level in FOUR YEARS Egg prices dropped to lower than when Trump took office Gas prices fell to their lowest level since March 2021".
