Alford, who succeeded Vicky Hartzler in 2023, has been active in engaging with constituents and sharing insights into his congressional activities.

On March 7, 2025, Rep. Alford addressed a situation involving his casework team in Jefferson City. He stated "Truth matters and here it is: This NEVER happened." His team had traveled to meet with both Republican and Democrat state-level counterparts to strengthen relationships and better serve constituents. He expressed disappointment that an elected official had misrepresented this effort.
