On January 29, 2025, Rep. Mark Alford expressed support for President Trump's executive orders, stating that they align with the priorities of the House Appropriations Committee Republicans. He highlighted key areas such as border security, boosting American energy, terminating DEI programs, reducing bureaucratic overreach, and rebuilding disaster-stricken towns. Later that day, Alford noted that only six of President Trump's cabinet members had been confirmed nine days into his presidency. He questioned why progressive Democrats were delaying the agenda and urged the Senate to act swiftly to facilitate the administration's goals. "We are on day of President Trump being in office.
