Rep. Mark Alford, who currently serves in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 4th district, shared several updates on December 12, 2024, via social media. Alford, a former journalist and University of Texas at Austin graduate, has been serving since replacing Vicky Hartzler in 2023.

In his first post from that day, Alford expressed a festive sentiment by noting the proximity to Christmas and the end of the workweek. He posted: "Merry & Bright because it’s #AlmostFriday and 13 days until Christmas!"

Later that day, Alford extended an invitation to his constituents for a gathering at his Raymore office. The post read: "Hey folks, we want to invite you to join us for a festive morning at our Raymore office! This is a time to connect, share stories and create Christmas memories. Continuing his outreach efforts, Alford announced an upcoming event aimed at engaging with the public through a Telephone Town Hall scheduled for December 16th. His message stated: "Join us for our December Telephone Town Hall on Monday, December 16th! Would love to hear from you—your thoughts, concerns, and what you want to see in 2025.
