Rep. Mark Alford, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Missouri’s 4th district since 2023, recently shared several tweets highlighting cultural and political themes. Born in Baytown, Texas in 1963, Alford resides in Lake Winnebago and holds a BA from the University of Texas at Austin.

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Alford tweeted about a performance by the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus in the Cannon Rotunda. He described it as "a moment of faith, culture, and values," noting that their rendition of "Glory to the Newborn King" serves as a reminder to cherish traditions and beliefs. "Their beautiful performance of Glory to the Newborn King resonates deeply, reminding us to hold our traditions and beliefs close to heart."

In another tweet on the same day, Rep. Alford mentioned Pete Hegseth's desire to reform the Pentagon with assertive action. He stated: "Pete Hegseth wants to get in and be a door kicker—and that’s exactly what we need to clean out the Pentagon."

Later that day, he commented on President-elect Donald Trump's influence even before taking office. Rep. Alford expressed confidence in Trump's leadership style: "The power of President-elect @realDonaldTrump is already at work." He suggested that Trump's approach would strengthen national operations and mark an end to what he termed as ineffective policies from previous administrations.
