Rep. Mark Alford, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri's 4th district since 2023, recently expressed his views on educational and national values through a series of tweets on December 4, 2024.

In one tweet, Rep. Alford referenced President Reagan's famous quote: "Freedom is only one generation away from extinction." He emphasized his stance against schools becoming "breeding grounds for communist ideologies and anti-American sentiment." He also mentioned his support for a bill proposed by colleague Rep. Maria Salazar to defend national values.

In another tweet posted later that day, Rep. Alford shared his appreciation for Pete Hegseth’s presentation at the Republican Study Committee on Capitol Hill. He stated: "Great to hear from @PeteHegseth at @RepublicanStudy on Capitol Hill." Alford aligned himself with Hegseth's vision of a "strong, safe, and peaceful America," asserting solidarity with him.

Further reinforcing his earlier statement about education, Rep. Alford reiterated in another post: "We cannot allow our schools to become breeding grounds for communist, Marxist ideologies and anti-American sentiment."
