Rep. Mark Alford, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Missouri's 4th district since 2023, expressed his views on social media regarding recent political developments. His statements, made on December 2, 2024, center around alleged double standards in media coverage and presidential actions.

On December 2, Rep. Alford tweeted about perceived bias in media coverage concerning presidential pardons. He wrote, "If President Trump had pardoned his kids, CNN would’ve melted down. But when Joe Biden does it for Hunter, silence. The double standard is unbelievable."

Later that day, he commented on the legal disparities between ordinary citizens and prominent political families. Alford stated, "While everyday Americans face the law, the Bidens get a free pass."

In another tweet posted on the same day, Rep. Alford addressed President Biden's prior statements about not pardoning his son Hunter Biden. He remarked, "Joe Biden said he wouldn’t pardon Hunter, yet here we are. President Biden’s word means nothing."
