On May 21, 2025, Rep. Alford expressed his excitement about hosting small businesses from across America on Capitol Hill. He highlighted "What an honor to welcome amazing small businesses from all over America this week on Capitol Hill!" and gave special recognition to Hammons Black Walnuts from Missouri's Fourth District.

The following day, May 22, 2025, he announced his affirmative vote on a significant legislative measure by stating "Proud to vote YES on this One, BIG Beautiful Bill just a few hours ago." Rep. Mark Alford was born in Baytown, Texas in 1963 and resides in Lake Winnebago. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988.
