Cass Regional Medical Center honored its staff during the annual Employee Appreciation Dinner held on March 28 at The Oasis in Peculiar, Mo., according to an April 21 announcement. The event recognized employees for service milestones and presented several awards to outstanding team members.

The dinner celebrated 41 employees who together marked a total of 510 years of service with Cass Regional over the past year. Employees achieving these milestones were acknowledged for their dedication and commitment to patient care.

Jackie Jones, an Exercise Specialist in the Cardiac Rehabilitation department, received the Employee of the Year award from the Employee Relations Team. Jones has worked at Cass Regional for more than eleven years, focusing on helping patients improve their cardiac function through hands-on care.

Chief Executive Officer Chris Lang presented Brian Tew, Director of Information Services, with the Manager of the Year award. Tew was recognized for leading his department through growth and advancements during the year.

The Dave Paxton Customer Service Award was also given out in memory of a former employee. Staff voted among seven nominees, selecting Ginger Friesz from Surgery as this year’s recipient. Friesz is known for her role in coordinating colleagues in the Operating Room and providing comfort to patients.

More than 200 guests attended the event, which featured entertainment by musician Kent Page and line dance instruction from Vance Kramer.
